REPORT ON CONSCIENTISATION PROGRAMME

INTRODUCTION

A Conscientisation Programme serves as an educational platform designed to raise awareness and foster critical thinking among learners about social, health, and environmental issues that influence daily life. To make the session more engaging and impactful, a short film on “Basic Hygiene” was screened. The film visually demonstrated how cleanliness and hygiene directly influence health and happiness. Students watched attentively and discussed their thoughts afterward, reinforcing their learning through visual understanding.

Following the awareness class, competitions were held to test and encourage students’ creativity and understanding of hygiene practices. The Quiz, Poster Making, and Drawing Competitions were conducted from 11:15 a.m. onwards for the Upper Primary students. The topics were:
Drawing Competition: “Ente Suchithwam Ente Suraksha” (My Cleanliness, My Safety)

Poster Making Competition: “Shuchithwam Arogyathinte Vazhikatti” (Cleanliness – The Path to Health)
In the afternoon session, similar competitions were organized for the High School students, providing them a chance to express their ideas on hygiene through art and participation.
