WEEKLY REFLECTION 8
Day 33

Today, I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. after the Onam vacation. The campus felt lively as students and teachers returned with fresh energy. At 9:15 a.m., I signed the morning attendance. During the third period, I observed Saranya’s Biology class. It was interesting to see how she engaged the students with clear explanations and examples. In the fourth period, I handled a substitution class in 8B. Though it was unplanned, I used to take regular class .After lunch, I signed the afternoon attendance. In the seventh period, I had my regular class in 8B. The students were attentive, and I felt more confident in managing the classroom. During the last period, there was a Work Experience class scheduled for 8B, but the concerned teacher was absent. The HM asked me to take the class instead. So that period also I utilized to took the rest of the portion. It turned out to be a productive session despite being unexpected.Overall, today helped me adapt to sudden changes in the timetable and reminded me of the importance of being flexible as a teacher. I also gained useful insights from today's experiences.
Day 34

Today I reached the school at 7:45 am. At 9:00 am, the morning attendance was signed. After the prayer, the school teacher assigned me and Aiswarya for exam duty. Even though the Onam exams were already completed, some students who had been absent on their exam days due to attending NCC camps had their exams scheduled this week. The first two periods were allotted for exam duty, and it was the Chemistry exam. The exam finished at 11:00am.In the third period, I got my regular class in 8B, where I taught according to the lesson plan. After the lunch break, I was again informed about exam duty. The Malayalam exam was conducted during that time. When the exam ended, I collected the answer sheets and handed them over to the concerned teacher. At 3:45 pm, the final bell rang along with the National Anthem.
Day 35

Today I reached the school at 7:45 am. At 9:15 am, I signed the morning attendance. Soon after, the Headmistress informed us to take the attendance of students in classes 5A and 5B.In the fourth period, I had my regular class in 8B. After the lunch break, I signed the afternoon attendance and then went to distribute the English exam answer sheets to class 9C along with Navaneeth. Afterwards, I helped him to enter the students’ marks in a separate record book. Later, we teacher trainees had a discussion about the conscientization programme that should be conducted for the students. We then informed the Headmistress about the plan. Towards the end of the day, Athira prepared a brochure for the upcoming programme. Finally, the last class hour ended a little earlier than usual, and the long bell rang at 3pm with National Anthem.
DAY 36
11-09-2025
Today I reached the school at 7:45 am. After marking the morning attendance, I went to get my record signed by Lekshmi teacher. It was surprising that Lekshmi teacher, Thushara teacher, Aiswarya, and I were all wearing black-coloured costumes. It was interesting to see that all of us English teachers happened to be in the same colour.After that, Vinu and I went to meet the HM and asked for necessary suggestions regarding the competition to be conducted the next day. The teacher suggested that we inform the whole school about the competition and collect the names of students who were ready to participate.Then we went to each class and collected the candidates’ names. Later, we prepared a list for both the UP and High School sections.In the afternoon, after having lunch, we signed our attendance. During the 6th period, I had a substitution class in 10D. During the 7th and 8th periods, I had regular classes in 8B. Based on the lesson plan, I conducted the class.The school day ended at 3:45 pm with the National Anthem. Thus, we left the school.
DAY 37
12-09-25
Today I reached the school at 7:45 am. After having breakfast, we discussed the classroom arrangements for conducting competitions. At 9:15 am, we signed the morning attendance. Soon after, the Headmistress informed us about a PTA meeting for the 10th standard students, which was scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:30pm.In between, we conducted competitions for the UP section students from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm. The events included poster making, drawing, and a quiz competition. The students actively participated in all these activities. Immediately after the session, we gave the students an awareness session on basic hygiene. After lunch, we signed the afternoon attendance. Then the competitions for the High School section began. It was surprising to see that the students had amazing talents. They actively participated in all three competitions, and most of them took part in the quiz competition. The whole programme ended at 2:30 pm. In the last period, I had a regular class with 8B. At 3:45 pm, the long bell rang, followed by the national anthem.
