SECOND PHASE WEEKLY REFLECTION

DAY 11

01-12-2025

Today was the eleventh day of my teaching practice. I reached the school at 9:00 am and signed the morning attendance. The day began with a school assembly that highlighted Constitution Day and World AIDS Day (December 1). Students took a special pledge, and the Headmistress addressed the school, giving important instructions about the upcoming Christmas examination. I did not have any classes in the morning session, so I used the time to observe the school environment and interact with students informally. During the noon meal break, two of my friends went to serve the meals to the students. After lunch, I signed the afternoon attendance. During the fifth period, I received a substitution class in 8C, but Revathy teacher informed me that several students were allotted to the NMS class, and the remaining students were asked to go to the library for reading. Therefore, I couldn’t take the planned class in that period. In the sixth period, I had my regular class in 8C. I conducted the lesson according to my lesson plan, and the students participated actively and responded well. In the seventh period, the class was allotted for the GOTECH session, handled by Aiswarya and Aleena. I observed their class and noted the strategies they used to engage the learners.  Overall, it was a productive day with opportunities to observe school activities, handle substitutions, and reflect on my teaching practices. Each experience helped me understand the routine and responsibilities of a teacher more deeply.
