WEEKLY REFLECTION 9



DAY 38

15-09-2025 



Today I reached the school at 7:45 am. At 9:05 am I signed the morning attendance. At 9:30 am the headmistress announced the school assembly, and all the students and teachers gathered in the school ground. The assembly began with a prayer song by a student, followed by the pledge. After that, the headmistress gave necessary instructions regarding the academics and the upcoming arts day, science fair and sports day competitions. Once the assembly dispersed, we teacher trainees returned to the staffroom. Today I had my regular class and also got a substitution class in 8B during the 7th and 8th periods. I made use of the opportunity and handled the lessons from their current chapter. The classes were taken effectively, and the students responded well. At 3:45 pm the school day ended with National Anthem.

DAY 39

16-09-2025

 Today I reached the school at 7:30 am. After having breakfast, I signed the morning attendance. At 9:30 am, Thushara teacher called the teacher trainees to assemble in the Sarkara school ground for sports day duty. We guided all the students to the ground in proper order. Several events were conducted, including races, long jump, discus throw, and shot put. Many students participated actively and showed great enthusiasm. Megha and I were assigned the duty of recording scores for the long jump event. It was very interesting to observe the students’ competitive spirit. During the events, one of the students’ mothers, who lived near the ground, kindly brought water for us. At 12:15 pm, we returned to the school and had our lunch. After the break, we went back to the ground to continue with the remaining events. The whole events ended at 2.15pm.  Once all the competitions were completed, we returned to the school. The teachers had arranged snacks and tea for us to refresh ourselves. Then I went to tool class in 8B based on the lesson plan. Finally, at 3:45 pm, the long bell rang, marking the end of the day, and we left the school.



 







DAY 40
17-09-2025


Today I reached the school at 7:30 am. After having breakfast, I signed the morning attendance. At first, I was assigned the duty of taking attendance in class 5B. Later, I got a substitution period in class 5A. During the 4th period, I had my regular class in 8B, where I taught according to the prepared lesson plan. After lunch, I signed the afternoon attendance. During the 7th period, I again got a substitution class in 8B. At 3:45 pm, the long bell rang. An interesting thing that happened today was that, based on the school teacher’s suggestion, Neethu, Rohini, and I sang the National Anthem. Finally, we left the school.

DAY -45 29-09-25 Last day of teaching practice - Phase I   Today marked the final day of my teaching practice, a day filled with mixed emotions and lasting memories. We reached the school at 7.30 am, and after having breakfast, we went to collect sweets from a nearby bakery. At 9.15 am, I signed the morning attendance. Many students came to our staffroom to meet us and express their feelings about our last day at the school. In my concerned class, 8B, Athira teacher and I distributed laddus and chocolates to both teachers and students as a token of love and gratitude. We took class photos and selfies with our students, capturing precious memories. The students shared their heartfelt feedback and offered small tokens of love, which deeply touched me.    Later, I got my records sealed and signed by the Headmaster.
