Today, we reached the school at 9:15 a.m. Soon after, we were informed that our optional teacher, Reetha Miss, had come to observe our classes. She instructed us to prepare lessons for the first, second, and third periods. Accordingly, I handled an observation class in 8C during the first period. The students were attentive throughout the class. Although the beginning of the lesson went well, my performance was affected due to fever, especially during the second half of the period. Even though I followed all the steps of my lesson plan, I was not fully satisfied with the overall delivery of the class. In the observation sheet, Reetha Miss provided necessary corrections and valuable suggestions, which will help me improve my teaching skills. Due to my health condition, I was not feeling well for the rest of the day. After signing the afternoon attendance, I handled a substitution class in 8C during the sixth period, where a Gotech class was conducted. Later, we engaged the students in small games, which created a relaxed and joyful learning atmosphere.
At 4:00 p.m., the long bell rang, and we left the school. Despite the challenges faced due to ill health, the day was a learning experience that helped me reflect on my teaching practices and areas for improvement.
