WEEKLY REFLECTION 8



DAY 33

Today, I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. after the Onam vacation. The campus felt lively as students and teachers returned with fresh energy. At 9:15 a.m., I signed the morning attendance.During the third period, I observed Saranya’s Biology class. It was interesting to see how she engaged the students with clear explanations and examples. In the fourth period, I handled a substitution class in 8B. Though it was unplanned, I used to take regular class .After lunch, I signed the Day 34

Today I reached the school at 7:45 am. At 9:00 am, the morning attendance was signed. After the prayer, the school teacher assigned me and Aiswarya for exam duty. Even though the Onam exams were already completed, some students who had been absent on their exam days due to attending NCC camps had their exams scheduled this week. The first two periods were allotted for exam duty, and it was the Chemistry exam. The exam finished at 11:00 am.In the third period, I got my regular class in 8B, where I taught according to the lesson plan. After the lunch break, I was again informed about exam duty. The Malayalam exam was conducted during that time. When the exam ended, I collected the answer sheets and handed them over to the concerned teacher. At 3:45 pm, the final bell rang along with the National Anthem.Day 34

Even though the Onam exams were already completed, some students who had been absent on their exam days due to attending NCC camps had their exams scheduled this week. The first two periods were allotted for exam duty, and it was the Chemistry exam. At 3:45 pm, the final bell rang along with the National Anthem.attendance. In the seventh period, I had my regular class in 8B. The students were attentive, and I felt more confident in managing the classroom.During the last period, there was a Work Experience class scheduled for 8B, but the concerned teacher was absent. The HM asked me to take the class instead. So that period also I utilized to took the rest of the portion. It turned out to be a productive session despite being unexpected.Overall, today helped me adapt to sudden changes in the timetable and reminded me of the importance of being flexible as a teacher. I also gained useful insights from today's experiences.

DAY -45 29-09-25 Last day of teaching practice - Phase I   Today marked the final day of my teaching practice, a day filled with mixed emotions and lasting memories. We reached the school at 7.30 am, and after having breakfast, we went to collect sweets from a nearby bakery. At 9.15 am, I signed the morning attendance. Many students came to our staffroom to meet us and express their feelings about our last day at the school. In my concerned class, 8B, Athira teacher and I distributed laddus and chocolates to both teachers and students as a token of love and gratitude. We took class photos and selfies with our students, capturing precious memories. The students shared their heartfelt feedback and offered small tokens of love, which deeply touched me.    Later, I got my records sealed and signed by the Headmaster. SECOND PHASE WEEKLY REFLECTION

DAY 22 19-01-26 I arrived at the school at 9:00 a.m. and marked my morning attendance. In the second period, I was assigned a substitution class in 9A. Following the concerned teacher’s instructions, I provided the students with notes related to their chapter. The day was noteworthy as the DEO visited the school. During the lunch break, Anna and I helped in serving the noon meal to the students. The meal consisted of rice, sambar, and payar thoran. After completing this responsibility, we had our lunch and signed the afternoon attendance. In the fifth period, I again took a substitution class in 9A, where I engaged the students through interactive games and a brief reading activity to maintain their interest. The sixth period was my regular class in 8C, during which I taught the lesson as per my lesson plan.
